Letter from Congressional Budget Office Director to U.S. House of Representatives detailing the major changes that would occur under the bill, as it exists, for the 2026 through 2034 period of time.

“CBO estimates that if the legislation was enacted, U.S. households, on average, would see an increase in the resources provided to them by the government over the 2026–2034 period. The changes would not be evenly distributed among households”.

U.S. House of Representative Republicans will probably be repeating the above statement from the CBO estimate to gain support for the bill. Unfortunately, the  increase in resources will not be equal because most budget cuts are directed towards the less fortunate.  Some of the cuts follow:

This one bill is going to affect many millions of Americans with the least amount of resources over a long period of time whenever it is passed in whatever form.  

All of us need to pay attention to what is happening with the bill.  If you intended for your 2024 vote to reduce Medicaid programs for those in need, and spend less on SNAP (Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program), do nothing.
