Concerns Raised Over DHS’s Arrests of Criminal Illegal Aliens

An August 14,  2025 Homeland Security Press Release states The American people are generously offering illegal aliens $1,000 and a free flight to self-deport now.”  I didn’t vote for illegal immigrants to be provided with free flights and a $1,000 exit bonus, did you?

CBP Home Mobile App to self-deport offers the following incentives for illegal aliens in the United States:

  • A $1,000 exit bonus
    • The exit bonus will be provided upon confirmation through the app that return has been completed.
  • Travel assistance
    • Illegal aliens who register for voluntary self-departure through the CBP Home Mobile App will receive travel assistance, such as arranging travel for their children or extended family or obtaining valid travel documents. Aliens requesting assistance will have a timely departure arranged for them (estimated departure to be within 21 days of approval). Illegal aliens in need of assistance should take extra care to ensure they provide accurate contact information and are responsive to outreach attempts.
  • Forgiveness of any failure to depart fines.
  • Leaving voluntarily may improve future immigration options.
  • De-prioritization for enforcement actions, detention and removal by ICE
    • Once illegal aliens submit their intent to depart through the CBP Home Mobile App and pass vetting, they will be deprioritized by ICE for enforcement action, detention and removal before their scheduled departure.

September 23, 2025 press release from the US Department of Homeland Security reads “New Milestone:  Over 2 Million Illegal Aliens Out of the United States in Less Than 250 Days”

That is an extremely impressive number until you read the fine print.  Of the 2 million plus illegal immigrants that were supposedly removed from US soil in less than 250 days, 1.6 million or roughly 80% voluntarily self-deported.  The other 527,000 were deported by US personnel.

The October 22, 2025 Department of Homeland Security Press Release made a point of individually listing five persons as being the “worst of the worst”, due to criminal convictions.   Congratulations to the Department of Homeland Security for capturing these people, but their arrest leaves some unanswered questions.  If they are the “worst of the worst”, why weren’t they already behind bars once they were convicted of the crimes committed?  Or were they?  Where were the five at when they were taken into custody by the Department of Homeland Security?

The DHS press release did not list any details regarding the arrest of any of the five, other than minimal details as follows:  “Angel Gabriel Ramirez-Robles, a criminal illegal alien from Mexico, convicted for sexual assault of a child in Hidalgo County, Texas.”    Research indicated there are no court records listed in the Hidalgo County TX Court  for the individual listed by the name of Angel Gabriel Ramirez-Robles.  If you can find any court records for this person in Hidalgo County TX, please add to the comments section of this post.  Thank you.

Our Department of Homeland Security is making history with all the individuals that have been arrested and/or deported, but are they arresting and deporting the correct individuals?
