It is a fact that in the United States a person is considered innocent until proven guilty and there’s nothing wrong with operating under that premise due to the fact many innocent men and women have been convicted of crimes and later found to be innocent of any wrong doing. That certainly may turn out to be the case in this instance.
The difference however, is Representative Grimm, is a member of the United States House of Representatives, serving on the Financial Services committee. Representative Grimm has absolutely no intentions of resigning his seat in Congress, claiming to be a ‘moral man, and a man of integrity’. The charges against this Member of Congress are extremely serious and if he won’t resign on his own, his constituents should demand his resignation based on the gravity of the charges he is facing.

Whoa… this story is definitely not getting the coverage it deserves by the U.S. press. The story about Rep. Michael Grimm cooking the books on his restaurant business to avoid taxes has only received coverage 787 times. In comparison, the story about Sen. Ted Cruz demanding Sec. of State John Kerry’s resignation over the ‘behind closed doors’ comments about Israel has received coverage exactly 4,000 times and is spinning out of control. In the last six seconds the story was published an additional 50 times.
Somehow or another the fact that a member of the U.S., House ‘appears’ to have little or no integrity should take precedence over what some first term Senator thinks about a comment that was made by our Secretary of State in a situation that was intended to be private.
The media is no longer in the control of ‘we the people’ therefore, it is not surprising that the majority of voters know so little.
Have a good day!
