Vote, Vote — Who’s Got The Vote?

Of course, rednecks don’t vote for Democrats, anyway, so there are many non-votes lost there.  But I think there’s a message in the way poll results are coming out even now.  The generic Democrat beats the generic Republican by 17 points.  But when names are used, John McCain or Rudy Giuliani beats Hillary Clinton or Barack Obama.

What does that say to you?

If Dennis Kucinich gets his name on the ballot in the primary in ahia, I may very well vote for him.   If he gets enough support, some of what he says may rub off on the other candidates.  He’s not going to be THE candidate, but some of his ideas may make it to the Democratic platform.
For the record, women in the United States did not get the right to vote until the 20th Century!  You can look it up.  On the other hand, after the slaves were freed, they were able to vote — except in the south — in the 19th Century, 15th Amendment, I believe.

As far as being elected president goes, a black man probably has a better chance than a woman.
