This Gonzales thing is a long way from being over. What was going on after two years to cause Rove and Bush to remove these eight United States attorneys that he had just appointed two years earlier?
Gonzales wasn’t able to give any reasons. One thing that was clear from his hearing is that he wasn’t the one to make the decision to fire them. He didn’t even know who was on the list!
