Adam Smith, over 200 years ago, said whenever businessmen get together, there’s a natural inclination to talk about prices and what they can do to gain more in profits. What we might call a "conspiracy" today just comes naturally to right-wingers. They don’t have to conspire — that’s just the way their minds work.
Same thing in politics. The rest of us, even though there are more of us, just don’t all think the same way.
