New spelling for the current Attorney General is "Gone"zales. I think he is a gone gosling. Tony Snow says that he hopes Gonzales will stay. That’s as good as saying that he is gone as far as I am concerned. It’s going to be pretty soon because the subpoenas for Gonzales and Rove are being prepared right now.
But he hasn’t gone yet. Last I heard, he was still the AG and the subpoenas had been prepared but not served, while they dicker over the Bush "offer" to allow Rove et al to talk with the Senate members, but no recording and no swearing in. Big deal. Rove can say anything he wants. With no record being kept and no swearing in, what difference does it make? He can lie to his heart’s content.
I hope Senator Leahy has the subpoenas served.
